About Alex Tebben: Alex Tebben is a life long resident of Columbus, where he lives with his wife and son. Tebben has always loved his city and been fascinated by its history. After graduating from The Ohio State University, Tebben had the opportunity to work as an archaeologist uncovering pieces of history. Later, Tebben returned to school to obtain a degree in museum studies in order to be better able to protect, preserve, and promote that history, rather than just find it.

Prohibition in Columbus, Ohio cover

PROHIBITION IN COLUMBUS, OHIO (2017): Prohibition did not happen overnight. The story of Prohibition in Columbus, Ohio, is much more than just what happened after the passage of the 18th amendment. It is the story of the generations of temperance groups who fought for decades to ban alcohol. It is also the story of the brewers and how they helped to shape a neighborhood. The story did not end with the repeal of Prohibition, it continued with a neighborhoods struggle to rebuild.
