About Richard Cowdrey: Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Cowdrey graduated from The Columbus College of Art and Design in 1981. Richardís love for family and nature overflows into his illustrations which are enjoyed by children around the world. The artist lives in Gambier with his wife and has four grown children and five grandchildren. When not painting in his studio, Richard enjoys visiting schools to share with children his love of illustration.

Richard Cowdrey's Speaking Engagements & Workshops: Richard talks about the process of illustrating, explaining how and where he works. Through a series of images, the audience can see an illustration evolve from the concept stage to a finished piece of artwork. Depending on time and scheduling, Richard does a Q&A, a "draw-along," reading, book signing, or a time spent with smaller groups of students chosen for their aptitude and/or interest in art.
